As the leaves are all falling, the days are shortening and seasonal change is upon is, it’s also an opportunity to go deeper into contemplation, introspection and reflection. If you’re simultaneously craving and dreading the slower, darker season of winter, here are some ways you can support yourself through the transition!
1. Plan ahead. Ask yourself - what can I do now that will set myself up for success this winter? Buy a new winter coat? Schedule that trip to somewhere warmer? What things are you looking forward to?
2. Spend some time journaling on these questions: What happened in the last 3 months that you’re really celebrating? What do you want to remember as you move into a new season?,
3. Spend time outside observing the change in nature - trees, flowers, grasses. Consider for yourself as you do – what are you releasing?
And - if you notice you're feeling disconnected, sluggish, and constantly reaching for your phone or other distractions as we move into darker days...
Here's an opportunity to go inward and cultivate sacred rest and your own sense of deep inner knowing and intuition.
