The Space - Stony Creek Farmstead Stony Creek Farmstead is a small diverse farm tucked in the Western corner of the Catskills. Dan and Kate raise grass fed beef cows and sheep, pasture raised organic pigs and chickens and an acre of organic vegetables. They also host guests for overnight stays, invite artists to lead kids summer workshops, and host a weekly outdoor pizza night. While you are at Stony Creek, you become part of the family - you can spend your time in the kitchen, the gardens, walking the hills, talking to the animals, sitting near the creek, or relaxing in your tent. Lodging: Rustic yet luxurious, our platform tents have welcomed families, lovebirds, reunions, and wedding guests alike. Canopied ceilings and canvas walls with a wooden floor underfoot, keep you dry and cozy without shutting nature out. A fully equipped kitchen boasts a wood cook stove and essential utensils, though delicious farm-fresh food will be provided communally for the retreat! Each tent has three ‘bedrooms’ - 1) a cabinet bed that encloses a double mattress, 2) a set of bunk beds and 3) a room with a King size bed. A small water closet conceals a flush toilet. A short stroll across a foot bridge brings you to the industrial open air shower house, with four stalls. You won’t find anywhere to plug your phone in - okay, there is electric in the farm store - the tents are intentionally off-grid to help you appreciate the finer things in life. Hike the hills for a breathtaking view of the valley, jump in the crystal clear pond, follow the creek into the woods.
