Nourishing Earth, Nourishing Women - Spring Group Retreat

May 9 - 11, 2022

Play like you used to in the grass, under the stars, by the creek, around the trunk of your favorite tree…

Connect with yourself, with other women, and with the Earth…

Leave behind your to-do list and let yourself just BE for a few days!

Through yoga, meditation, time in nature, in circles around a fire, singing, remembering, journaling, playing, being with the quiet, creating with your hands, cooking and eating food fresh from the farm, our intention is that you walk away feeling:

Connected.

Refreshed.

Renewed.

Free.

Empowered.

Vibrant.

Restored.

Resourced by the Earth herself, her beauty, and her wisdom.

Take a much-needed break from giving, planning, doing and let yourself receive instead: gifts from the earth (nourishing food), warmth of the sun, fields and woods to wander through, and community.

Give yourself the retreat experience but also build your capacity and skills to be able to integrate more of this nourishment, earth connection, and deep soul support into the rest of your life!

The Space - Stony Creek Farmstead

Stony Creek Farmstead is a small diverse farm tucked in the Western corner of the Catskills. Dan and Kate raise grass fed beef cows and sheep, pasture raised organic pigs and chickens and an acre of organic vegetables. They also host guests for overnight stays, invite artists to lead kids summer workshops, and host a weekly outdoor pizza night. While you are at Stony Creek, you become part of the family - you can spend your time in the kitchen, the gardens, walking the hills, talking to the animals, sitting near the creek, or relaxing in your tent.

Lodging:

Rustic yet luxurious, our platform tents have welcomed families, lovebirds, reunions, and wedding guests alike. Canopied ceilings and canvas walls with a wooden floor underfoot, keep you dry and cozy without shutting nature out. A fully equipped kitchen boasts a wood cook stove and essential utensils, though delicious farm-fresh food will be provided communally for the retreat! Each tent has three ‘bedrooms’ - 1) a cabinet bed that encloses a double mattress, 2) a set of bunk beds and 3) a room with a King size bed. A small water closet conceals a flush toilet. A short stroll across a foot bridge brings you to the industrial open air shower house, with four stalls. You won’t find anywhere to plug your phone in - okay, there is electric in the farm store - the tents are intentionally off-grid to help you appreciate the finer things in life. Hike the hills for a breathtaking view of the valley, jump in the crystal clear pond, follow the creek into the woods.

The Bunk Bed Room is a small private room on one side of the tent with a full size twin bunk bed. Enjoy a quiet little space of your own or share with a friend! Store your personal items in wooden crates that serve as bedside tables. Booking a shared room requires that you specify a roommate.  Each must fill out separate registration forms.

The Cabinet Bed Room is a double bed within a space of its own, enter through large cabinet doors in the front and back, store small personal items inside on a shelf. You can close the doors for total privacy or open them to chat with friends.

The King Bed Room is the definition of luxury on the farm. The plush king bed sits high off the wood floor and has a handmade wooden headboard with a shelf on each side for personal items. A door opens into the bunk bed room and a curtain provides privacy from the common space.

What others have experienced:

“Chelsea is kind and wise, and the spiritual inclusiveness and language of her practice has had a positive effect on me. I would recommend Chelsea to anyone and everyone seeking safe group structuring, and comfortable group re-evaluation of self-knowledge, especially women who are interested in becoming more expressive. Chelsea is someone who walks her talk.” – Amelia

“The space and retreat agenda are intentionally curated to allow you to feel cared for.  My retreat was cathartic and transformational, allowing me the time and space to give attention to my thoughts and feelings.  I had a chance to listen to what brings me peace, and consider how I might implement habits in my lifestyle to bring true peace more often.” – Christy

"I have profoundly appreciated my time working with Chelsea, who is a deep listener, incredibly grounded, and also real and authentic in the most relatable of ways. I have felt understood by her, and also left our times together with a deeper understanding of myself. I appreciate Chelsea's energy and way of relating that is humble and also powerful in the types of questions she asks and the quiet space she holds for knowing to emerge. Thank you, Chelsea, for your time and care, and for being an example of what it can look and feel like to work towards creating an intentional and purposeful life."  - Monica

"Spending time on this retreat allowed me space to pause and fully drop-into my own personal rhythm. Chelsea’s thoughtfulness, perfect planning and amazing cooking skills allowed me to be in the present moment, relax and experience the luxury of no plans or responsibilities."

"By focusing only on my self-care for this retreat, I felt like I could finally breathe, listen, taste, smell, be still, rest, grieve, pray, and enjoy being alone.  A huge thanks to Chelsea who was incredibly encouraging, supportive, and flexible when it came time to set my intentions and create a schedule for the retreat. I highly recommend this retreat!"
