I truly believe the journey towards holistic healing and wholeness starts within, and building your own capacity for this type of awareness and relationship with your body is something you can cultivate. Yes, working with a massage therapist is valuable as well, especially to provide that deeper experience of relaxation and to address specific tight muscles and concerns. But it doesn't have to just be a one-sided relationship where you receive a massage. It's about your relationship with your own body and energy. It's about your own awareness of what you need, too. Here's a 15-minute guided self-massage segment to help you come into deeper relationship with your own body, your areas of tension and spaciousness, and your own sense of wholeness. This is great to do at the beginning or end of the day, or anytime that you can pause and reset your body, mind and spirit.
